Darwin is an interactive online generative art project. It is a study of an evolutionary process that evolves poetry over time. The role of natural selection is played by the aesthetic preferences of visitors to the site. The project is based on the Galapagos project of Karl Sims. Darwin is an online version of Galapagos that evolves poetry instead of images. It focuses on the documentation of the continuing evolutionary process, and has emphasis on the study of evolutionary processes.
