tmp sys FLOAT by boris.kopeinig.net tmp sys, algorithmic visual system
represented on screen is a group of (data) objects,
each visualizing two variables. one variable holds the
number of time units the object is displayed on screen.
the second variable acts as a counter.
if values are equal, a new random vaule is asigned to
variable one and the counter reset. the program
generates visual patterns.

to describe the power of tmp sys is as difficult as realizing an idea you had on a lsd-trip. you have to see tmp sys, you have to feel it in order to understand it. but anyway i give it a dry try in this feature: boris kopeinig is a very understaty artist, highly intelligent in his sharp attacks onto code visualisation and very strict in his selective process. he works on his conceptual plan with the precision of a neuro-surgeon. almost totalitarian in his way -cleaning out all unnecessary objects, ideas and codelines- he adds just one fine splash of cream on top of it, to model ultra technoid things into a human creation, into a beautiful creation such as tmp sys. important to know, kopeinig mainly consumes his "stuff" himself, as mindmachines - he sits whole nights in front of just one of his pieces - a wicked egonaut tripping through the machine and endo-dancing back into his own mind. the club is his living room - sub stim his alias for the techno-pu[o]p flex culture. but his concentration - his compression, his main field of work are visual systems, software with visual output based on algorythmic and generative processes and automation [sounds pretty boring and mainstream, in his case it is definitely not]. digital textimages, strings and semantic spaces: his library of work consists of thousands of pieces -although via his website kopeinig.net he showcases just a limited selection-. sexy-patterns, abusive aesthetics, efficient information, pragmatic psychedelic and randomic countercultural. tmp sys is the perfect incorporation of his style and "philosphy": "tmp sys simply represents a group of objects, each visualizing two variables. one variable holds the number of time units the object is displayed on screen. the second variable acts as a counter. if values are equal, a new random vaule is asigned to variable one and the counter reset. the program generates visual patterns. all 23 numeric-characters are made visible by connecting them by a line." he calls this 23 visibility "debil content". as i said and herefore wanna point out once and for all: you gotta see it to understand and feel it. and maybe you are a person who needs the visual-only version of tmp sys, go online and find out. now is there anything more to add to this arty-visual-hyper-ex machina endo-artist? hard to tell. boris kopeinig walks around bald headed wearing black clothes like a bloody designer-architect. he is a talking head in many minimalistic ways. it is actually very true, he does look for new concepts, new ways of bringing his work out of the machine, and meanwhile he seems to bring his body and his mind back into the machine. his sharp and exquisite commercial design & conceptual work predestines him for higher obligations in the free software art world and future fine art markets. please invest into boris kopeinig, please invest into the code of tomorrow!
